URSA MAJOR

Ursa Major is a two-part video work in progress, set in the Fens of East Anglia and shot at sites on the course of the River Great Ouse. The work depicts the appearance of a mysterious entity wrapped in a fish skin shroud, who is processed through the landscape and placed into the river by a group of mourners. The immersion of this being seems to instigate shifts in the river’s character, and provokes the emergence of other figures landscape.
